Watch, DVD Thief Sentenced to Jail, Probation

Dennis Fastiggi was given 180 days in confinement for thefts over three-month period.

A Hopatcong man received 180 days in jail and five more years of probation for stealing watches out of cars and DVDs from a home, according to the Sussex County Prosecutor's Office.

from a Hopatcong home, then pawned them to Saturday Night Matinee in Rockaway in March, according to police. At that time he was jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Less than two months earlier, Fastiggi was arrested for entering cars and taking multiple watches from the vehicles, police said.

Fastiggi admitted that between January 20, and March 25, 2013, in the Borough of Hopatcong did enter several residences and stole property, the prosecutor's office said.

This is why I have previously stated that its too bad it's not legal to shoot someone if you catch them in the act of burglarizing you. Your house, car, whatever! Why waist the taxpayers money on scum!

Not this guy's first offense. Was hoping for a longer sentence. He'll be back, and HPD will be watching him.
