POLL: Are You An Organ Donor?

According to an article on New Jersey Spotlight, New Jersey ranks at position number 41 out of the 50 states for organ donor participation. Doctors at Newark Beth Israel Hospital believe that the way to raise the state’s standing in this category is education, letting people know about organ donation and how easy it is to sign up to become an organ donor.

Gov. Chris Christie on Monday signed a law marking April as Donate Life Month. Part of the law directs the Treasury department to put an organ donor message on state workers’ paychecks. It also asks companies that get state contracts to get the word out to their employees about organ donation.
