Should Speed Limits Increase on Parkway, Turnpike?

Northern New Jersey residents know the roads all too well. 

If you've gone to the Jersey Shore or headed out of town to the south or north, chances are you've driven on the New Jersey Turnpike or Garden State Parkway.

Speed limits on those roadways range from 55 to 65 miles-per-hour, and lanes can range from two to four at times. But one New Jersey politician doesn't think that's enough. 

Assemblyman Declan O'Scanlon (R-12) is set to propose legislation that would bump the speed limit on those roads to 75 miles-per-hour. 

So, Patch readers and New Jersey motorists, do you agree with O'Scanlon, or think those speeds are fine as is?
