The Week Ahead: Meetings and Some Sweets

There's a lot on this week's Jefferson schedule.

The upcoming week is a busy one in J-Town. There’s so much to do that on some nights you even have to choose from two events. We’ve listed them for you here, so get ready to figure out where you’ll be just about every night this week.

  1. : The inaugural meeting of the group Because I Love You (BILY) happens on Monday night at 7 p.m. at the office. This group is for parents troubled by their children’s behavior.
  2. : The Board meets at the media center on Monday night at 8 p.m. Find out what’s happening in the Jefferson school district.
  3. : Dine at s, s, ’s or and a portion of your bill will be donated to the on Wednesday from 5 – 9 p.m. This program is a fundraiser from the high school DECA class.
  4. : This program, entitled “Not In My Town—Think Again and Get Informed About Drug Trends in Jefferson” will happen on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at . A panel including members of the school district, police department and a rehabilitation center, will be on hand to lead a discussion and answer questions.
  5. : This will also happen on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in council chambers at the municipal building. It’s a great place to find out what’s going on all over Jefferson.
  6. : Come out and hear the high school’s instrumental bands play while enjoying sweets from several restaurants throughout town. This will happen Thursday night at 7 p.m. at the Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for students and seniors and free for children under five.
