Jefferson Township High School Recognizes Student Artists at Reception

Fifty-seven student artists received certificates of outstanding achievement and fine arts medals.

The presentation of artistry by Jefferson Township High School students came to a conclusion with a reunion of all artists who had displays featured in months previous.

Students, guest artists and community members alike turned out for one final look at the art pieces at the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building this week for the Student Artist Reception sponsored by the Jefferson Arts Committee.

Guest artists included Kate Della Terza and Jessica Arena who are graduates of Jefferson Township School and substitute teach there on occasion.

A total of 57 students received certificates of outstanding achievement and fine arts medals at the reception.

The artwork presented that night previously hung in the Municipal Library with new additions arriving each month and remaining there for seven months.

The next presentation will take place Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. in the Municipal Library.
