Kraemer Named Superintendent of Schools

School board appointment came on Thursday.

Joseph Kraemer, currently the assistant superintendent of was appointed to the superintendent position on Thursday night. Kraemer will assume the position on April 1, the retirement date of current superintendent Dr. Kathaleen Fuchs.

“I want to thank the board for this opportunity to serve the community and students of Jefferson,” Kraemer said. “It’s a challenge I’m looking forward to.”

Kraemer has been with the district for six years as assistant superintendent. He was acting superintendent for six months before Fuchs came on board.
