The Jefferson Lady Falcons kept their state title dreams alive tonight with a 62-39 victory over Bergenfield in the quarter-finals of the NJSIAA North Section 1 Group 3 basketball tournament. Jefferson gained the top seed in the tournament and has defeated Paramus and Bergenfield.
Kristen Swerzenski led the scoring efforts for the Lady Falcons with 23 points. Sammy Lapszynski added 13.
The 23-1 Lady Falcons will play the winner of High Point/Old Tappan on Friday at . The High Point/Old Tappan game was supposed to be played on Wednesday but was postponed until Thursday due to inclement weather.
