Melissa Senatore Named to Vacant School Board Seat

She replaces Bob Feldmann, who resigned his seat in March.

Senatore ran for one of the three open seats on the board last April. She came in fourth of the 11 candidates that ran at that time. 

Speaking on her own behalf, Senatore said that she has been a regular attendee at school board meetings. She also noted her high finish in the school board race last April.

Senatore has two children, one in kindergarten and one special needs child who currently has out of district placement.

When she ran for the board last spring, Senatore said that she believes communication is key between the board and the public.

She also said that she would like to see all special needs children be able to be educated in district.

 “I would love to be able to bring my son back into district, but we need to have the programs here to help him and other children that need extra help," she said.

Senatore has been on the board of the Jefferson Township Chamber of Commerce, and was named Businesswoman of the Year in 2010.
