Human Trafficking Topic of Senator's Visit to Jefferson Schools

Students commended for work in spreading awareness of international issue.

State Sen. Jeffrey Chiesa will be visiting Jefferson Township High School and middle school students on Sept. 16.

The senator visited students last year in his role as attorney general to talk about human trafficking and how it can be stopped in the United States.

Chiesa has visited township schools several times and commended the students and teachers for work on Project Gold, a program developed in the school district to spread awareness and education about human trafficking.
