The next step in the process, according to Jefferson Township School Superintendent Joseph Kraemer, is for the district’s insurance company to review the case.

“As we speak, the insurance company is investigating,” he said. “They will look at all the reports, paperwork and the video filed in this case, and will then compare and analyze the data from both parties.”

Kraemer added that the insurance company will arrange a meeting with all parties involved, “hopefully by the end of June," he said.

“The insurance company will try to come up with an agreement that is satisfactory to all sides involved," Kraemer said.

As of now, Kraemer said, the school board’s attorney is monitoring the case, but is not actively involved.

Darren DelSardo, attorney for the Attanasios, did not respond to several requests for comment over the past week.
