Halloween Costume Party scheduled for 7th & 8th graders
Halloween Costume Party scheduled at Camp Jefferson for 7th and 8th graders!
Middle school aged children in the 7th and 8th grade only who are residents of Jefferson Township are invited to join the Jefferson Recreation Department at Camp Jefferson on Friday, October 14, 2011 from 7 to 10 pm for a Halloween Costume Party with DJ Orlando from Any Excuse for a Party.
Tickets are $5 per person – pre-sale only -- and include snacks, drinks, and the party DJ. Space is limited to the first 150 seventh and eighth graders to sign up with payment. All students must be registered in advance and will not be able to sign up at the door. The registration deadline is Wednesday, October 12; and please remember that the spring dance had over 200 children and tickets went quickly.

Registration forms are being distributed to all Jefferson Township Middle School homerooms and are available as well at www.jeffersontownship.net by clicking on the “Residents” tab, scroll to “Forms Center” and then scroll to “Recreation” to print one out. The form must be completed and returned by mail or in person with the $5 payment (checks payable to Jefferson Township) to the Recreation Department, Camp Jefferson, 81 Weldon Road, Lake Hopatcong, NJ 07849.
Prizes will be awarded for best costumes in the following categories: Funniest, Scariest, Most Creative, and Best Duo (duo costumes are two or more students who pair up and dress in costumes related to each other – i.e. pizza and soda, Abbott and Costello, bowling pin and bowling ball, etc). Costumes must be child appropriate, and no weapons will be allowed.

Parents are asked to volunteer to chaperone the party to help set up and supervise. Donations of snacks and beverages will be accepted by the Recreation Department at Camp Jefferson on Thursday, October 13 from 9 am to 4:30 pm and on Friday, October 14 no later than 2 pm. Please check off these requests on the registration form if you can assist with either request.
