The Vikings improved to 6-3 this season with a 27-7 thumping over Jefferson (4-5), according to NJ.com. J.R. Reese scored Jefferson’s lone touchdown on a 29-yard run in the third quarter.

Girls Eliminated From Tourney

A Meredith Hudson first-half goal was enough to help the Ramsey girls field hockey team past Jefferson, 1-0, in the semifinal round of the North 1, Group II tournament, according to NJ.com. Goalie Alex Taveras stopped nine shots for Jefferson (13-7-1).
