Jefferson-Hanover Park to Meet for High-Stakes High School Football Matchup

The Falcons have a tough one ahead as they take on Hanover Park Friday.

Jefferson Township High School head football coach Joe Mattessich apparently is not about to rest on his team's 3-1 record. In fact, he told the Daily Record that his boys are still trying to find themselves.

The Falcons take on the also 3-1 Hanover Park Regional High School Hornets Friday at 7 p.m. in a game the Record calls a matchup of the two best quarterbacks in Morris County.

In addition to pitting J-Town's J.R. Reese against Matt Hoberman of Hanover Park, the game will in large part determine whether the teams will advance to the playoff berths of their respective divisions (NJSIAA North 2, Group II for Hanover Park; North 1, Group III for Jefferson).
