NY Giants' Coach of Week is Jefferson's Mattessich
Falcon's head man honored, with program to receive $1,000 check.
Jefferson Falcons head football coach Joe Mattessich received a prestigious honor this week.
On Wednesday, the New York Giants announced on their website that Mattessich is their The Lou Rettino High School Football Coach of the Week. The selection comes a week after the Falcons defeated Hackettstown 35-13 on the road.
For winning the award, according to information on the website, Mattessich will receive a certificate of recognition signed by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and Giants Head Coach Tom Coughlin. The Falcons' football program will also receive a $1,000 check.

Mattessich will be acknowledged by a stadium announcement when the Giants host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Nov. 4.
