Why Go: Because who doesn't love a hearty dinner on a cold winter's day?
Cost: $9 for adults, $7 for kids age 7-12, younger than 7 free

Jersey Harmony Express Concert
When/When: Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Bridgewater Township Library.
Why Go: To listen to an exciting barbershop quartet with perfect harmonies warming us all on a cold winter's night.
Cost: Free

Chinese New Year, Year of the Dragon|
When/When: Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Bridgewater Township Library.
Why Go: To celebrate the new year with crafts and an opportunity to take part in creating paper lanterns and a large dragon!
Cost: Free, but registration is required

Where/When: 9:30 a.m. Jan. 21 at , 116 Hillcrest Road in Warren.
Why Go: Kids 3-6 years old can enjoy a day of summer camp fun in January, with games, sports, crafts, cooking and music.
Cost: It's free, but you must send an RSVP.

Where/When: Jan. 21, noon,  First Baptist Church of Madison, 34 Cook Ave.
Why Go: The Church's Women's Ministry's annual dinner offers a choice of lasagna or spaghetti along with a generous helping of fellowship.

Where/When: Jan. 22 9 a.m., , 192 Main St. Why Go: All-you-can-eat breakfast of pancakes, sausage, and bacon, and all the thrilling stories that the Marching Dodgers can tell! Cost: $6

Why Go: To help out YMCS Kids Campaign and Kings Road School PTO.
Cost: $50

When/Where: Saturday, 10 a.m., Why Go: Hands-on experiments and displays to help kids of all ages learn a little more about the earth, from plant DNA to outer space.

When/Where: Saturday, 10 a.m., Why go: Michael Worth, PhD, a developmental psychologist, hosts this play date to help new fathers be as actively involved with their children. Kids from 7 days to 1 year welcome, including twins and premature babies.
Cost: $10

Where/When: Saturday at 10 a.m. at 243 Route 46, Parsippany
Why Go:  Traditional forms of exercise just won't do.

Why Go: To enjoy adults-only beverages and family-friendly humor while supporting the PAL's work for youth

Why Go: You don't have to go it alone.
Cost: Free

When/Where: Friday at 8 p.m. at Mayo Performing Arts Center, Morristown
Why Go: You're a fan of the former The Guess Who singer.
Cost: $37 to $57

When/Where: Saturday at 8 a.m. from Marty's Reliable Cycle, Morristown
Why Go: Just because it's winter doesn't mean you're hibernating!
Cost: Free

When/Where: Sunday at 11 a.m. at Marty's Reliable Cycle, Morristown
Why Go: Because you love chocolate, you love the NJ Youth Chorus, you love Marty (admit it, it's the 'stache).
Cost: $10

When/Where: Saturday, 6:30 p.m., American Legion Post 279, 133 Main Street, Lincoln Park.
Why Go: To enjoy beefsteak, beverages, tricky tray and music by Farmer Phil Band in an event to honor Marine Lance Cpl. Adrian Simone, a graduate who .

When/When: Sunday, from 1 to 5 p.m. at both  facilities in Basking Ridge; the main YMCA at 140 Mount Airy Road, or the Riverwalk satellite at 665 Martinsville Road. 
Why Go: Because anyone can show up to try a variety of free classes and activities at both locations, including Zumba dancing, group exercise classes, Yogalates, Pilates, Hip Hop classes, preschool dance, a chance to jump in the pool and more. There also will be a break on membership fees. A schedule of activities is on the website.
Cost: Free

Chocolate Festival
When/Where: Sunday at 11 a.m. at Dolce Basking Ridge, 300 N. Maple Ave., Basking Ridge.
Why Go: Because you love chocolate, you'll be supporting the N.J. Youth Chorus, and you can hear music while wandering among chocolatiers, caricature artists, and other vendors. A silent auction will also be held.
