Jefferson Varsity Rec football Off to a Good Start

Jefferson Varsity Rec. football off to a 2-0 start recently defeating rival Twin Boro 8-6

Jefferson Varsity Rec. football and head coach Matt Millar off to a good start defeating rival Twin Boro in a close one 8-6. This win brings Jefferson to a 2-0 record. This was mostly a strong defensive game, then Jefferson broke through with a long run from Brandon Magnotta and a QB sneak from the 2 yard line by Logan Holleritter, put six points on the board for Jefferson. Then a good snap from Amelio Alheidt to the holder Alex Leming allowed kicker Victor Schiavo convert the extra points. Twin Boro fought back and scored a touchdown of their own, but could not convert the extra point, because of the pressure brought from Jefferson players. The schedule does not get easier. Jefferson will face Sparta on Sept. 29th at 8:00 at Lakeside field.
