Undefeated Jefferson Varsity Rec Over Sparta 42-12

Intense play in bad weather brought the Jefferson Varsity Rec football team to a 42-12 win over Sparta on Saturday night.

The game opened with Falcon's Brandon Magnotta 80 yard kick return for a touchdown. Sparta controlled the ball the entire first quarter, not allowing Jefferson any plays on offense.

The Falcons ran their first offensive play at the start of the second quarter. Jefferson was running on all cylinders, featuring four touchdown runs from Connor Brown and one from Dean Gonnella. Long runs also came from Alex Leming and Jalen Torres  Tough defense from Jacob Jakova, Dakota Parker and Amelio Alheidt closed the door on Sparta and secured the third victory for this Falcon team.

Roxbury, another 3-0 team, is the Falcons next opponent on Sept. 29 at 8:00 at Lakeside Field.
