Jersey Cares Still Looking for Warm Coats

Do you have a place to collect coats for those who need them? Jersey Cares needs your help.

The one thing you don't want to be without in the frigid weather is a warm coat. The 18th Annual Coat Drive sponsored by Jersey Cares, a volunteer-recruiting organization, is going on until Feb. 7.

If you have a coat in good condition you no longer wear, someone in the Morris County area could definitely use it. There are 8 sites in Morris County that are taking coat collections (you can find them on Jersey Cares coat site list.)

The group has collected, sorted and distributed more than 400,000 coats in the past 17 years to New Jersey residents through their annual drive. Coats for men, women, and children are all needed.

Jersey Cares can also use more coat sorters and more local collection sites. If you have the room and you want to volunteer your business or building to serve to collect coats, or you have time to help sort through the donations, contact them on their webpage.
