WAY OVERPRICED! A glass of iced tea should not cost as much as a beer. The wife and I went there for a quick dinner and dropped over $40. Never again!
Owners trying to make up for losses at the JT Tavern????

The Jefferson Diner is the quintessential New Jersey diner, with neon lights that can be seen by anyone driving down Bowling Green Parkway. Family-owned and operated since 1985, it offers plenty of seating from early morning until late night and also caters, so you can bring the diner experience to your next party or luncheon. The only day the Jefferson Diner closes is on Christmas.

I've been going here for a lot of years, but lately the prices have just gotten ridiculous. I can name a half dozen other diners in Northern NJ where you can get just as much (or more) for a lot less... and it'll be a better selection too!! The menu here is missing some diner basics - they have all kinds of expensive seafood (which I don't go to a diner for), but only offer pot roast as an occasional special... how can a diner not have pot roast on the regular menu??? And when they do have it, they give you three thin slices and charge about $15!! They let Food Network go to their heads - better realize people don't come in for food they see on TV unless they think it's good... and worth the money.
Cant believe the prices! They Jacked them up so much over the past two months. WONT GO THERE ANYMORE! a grilled Chicken Sandwhich .. 12.99??? are you NUTS!
I work three minutes from here and went here twice, both times food portions were small and tasted old. It's not rocket science to make Taylor ham and bacon and not overcook them. Won't go back even when work pays for breakfast.
Prices are outrageous - Paul & Christas on 181 is much better
