100 Folds of Heroin Seized in Jefferson Bust

Township men also tried to elude police, cops say.

Two township men were charged with heroin possession on Aug. 13 after they were found to be in possession of 100 folds of suspected heroin and a hypodermic needle, according to police.

Alex Sotnyk, 24, and Bruce Coston III, 32, both of Jefferson Township, were both sent to the Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 bail.

Police were on routine patrol when they noticed Sotnyk pulling out of his driveway and suddenly pull back in (upon seeing the officer) and go back into his home, according to Jefferson Township Police Capt. Eric Wilsusen. A passenger in his car, Coston, also attempted to elude police, Wilsusen said.

Officers discovered a $600 warrant out for Coston's arrest out of the Seaside Heights Municipal Court.

Police arrested Coston and investigated the vehicle, at which time they found the suspected heroin and needle, Wilsusen said.
